How to Match E-ZPass Transactions to Turo Trips

Short answer: export your E-ZPass account activity as a CSV or Excel file, import it into Kelviz alongside your Turo reservation history, and the matching engine links each transaction to the reservation that had the charged plate or transponder active at that exact time. 1. Download your E-ZPass statement

Your E-ZPass account center lets you export account activity for a date range as CSV or Excel — that export is what you'll upload, not a screenshot or a PDF invoice.

2. Make sure your Turo reservation history is imported first

The matching engine needs both sides of the picture: which vehicle was on which reservation, and which vehicle a toll charged. If you haven't imported reservations yet, do that first — see Getting Started with Kelviz for the full setup order.

3. Map the export's columns

Kelviz walks you through mapping your E-ZPass file's columns — plate or transponder, amount, and timestamp — to what the matching engine needs. Save the mapping as a template so re-importing a later statement doesn't mean redoing this step.

4. Review anything the matching engine isn't confident about

Most transactions match automatically once a plate or transponder and a reservation's time window line up. Anything ambiguous — two candidate reservations, a transponder that changed vehicles recently — lands in a review queue instead of being silently guessed at.

5. Turn matched charges into a guest bill

Once a charge is matched, it's ready to move into a guest billing case for that reservation, tracked alongside any other tolls or tickets from the same trip.

A worked example

A statement row shows a transponder charge of $2.75 at 3:42 PM on a bridge crossing. Kelviz checks which vehicle had that transponder mounted on that date (not just today), finds the reservation active at 3:42 PM for that vehicle, confirms the crossing time falls inside the trip window, and clears the match automatically. If the same transponder had been moved to a different vehicle the week before without an update, the system would instead flag it for review rather than guessing which vehicle actually carried the tag that day.
