Turo Parking Ticket Notification Template

State what the host received and how the guest can review it — factually, without declaring legal guilt or asking for payment outside Turo's process.

Ticket records retain review, billing, payment, incident-date, and due-date status together — the same fields this template asks you to confirm before sending.

A parking-ticket notice to a guest should state what the host received, when the incident allegedly occurred, and how the guest can review the evidence — it shouldn't declare legal guilt or ask for off-platform payment. See How to Charge a Turo Guest for a Parking Ticket for the eligibility groundwork this message assumes is already done.

Template

"Hi [Guest first name], I received a parking citation for the [vehicle] with an incident date of [date and time] at [location], during the reservation period [trip dates]. The notice was issued by [agency] under citation number [masked/reference number] for [violation type] in the amount of [amount]. I'm verifying the notice and following the issuing authority's required process. If the charge is eligible, I'll submit the documentation through Turo's ticket reimbursement process for review. Please let me know through Turo messaging if you have relevant information about the incident."

Confirm every item before sending

That the citation is genuine, the plate and vehicle actually match, the incident time falls within the relevant possession period, the violation concerns guest conduct rather than a vehicle-compliance issue, the amount and due date are accurate, and Turo's current policy permits the request at all — sending the message before confirming these just invites a dispute you can't actually support.

Keep government deadlines separate from Turo review

Respond to the issuing authority on time regardless of where the Turo reimbursement review stands — a pending Turo case doesn't pause the agency's own deadline, and missing it is a separate, avoidable problem.

Frequently asked questions

Should I send the guest the entire citation document?

Follow Turo's documentation requirements while minimizing unrelated or sensitive information — the guest needs enough to understand and respond, not the full original file by default.

What if the ticket is actually about expired registration, not guest conduct?

Vehicle-compliance violations can remain the host's own responsibility — review current policy and the actual citation before sending a guest-facing message at all.
