Use this checklist before moving a toll from "matched" to "ready to bill," adapting it to Turo's current official documentation requirements. Provider evidence

Confirm the toll authority or provider is identified, the original transaction or statement is retained, the provider transaction ID is recorded where available, the travel date and time and location are shown, the plate and/or transponder are shown, the base amount is shown, and any added fees are itemized separately rather than bundled into one number.

Vehicle, reservation, eligibility, and calculation

Confirm vehicle identity, historical plate or tag assignment, reservation start and end, actual possession reviewed near any boundary, and no unresolved overlapping trip. Then confirm the charge is guest-related under current Turo policy, host and operational use are excluded, a duplicate check has been completed, unsupported or host-caused fees are excluded, and the line items sum to exactly the requested total.

Submission and privacy

Confirm the current deadline has been verified, the evidence is readable, unrelated transactions and personal data have been minimized, the correct Turo category has been selected, and the internal status gets updated once the charge is actually submitted — a checklist that stops at "submitted" without updating the internal record just becomes stale the moment it's used.
